"Customer first has always been the core value of Novilla. In terms of customer experience, high-frequency doors, because of its structural characteristics, the four sides are 45° spliced, so after the splicing, there must be four 90° sharp corners. And these doors with sharp corners are easy to bump and hurt people, resulting in a bad product experience, so we must solve this problem." Liu Rui zeng said.
Based on this, Liu Rui zeng submitted a research project on adaptive rounding. Originally, it was the last one among the nine submitted projects, and even "make up the number", but finally this "make up the number" project successfully won the patent.
Adaptive chamfering technology, in short, is to develop an adaptive chamfering accessories with the existing equipment in the workshop, through the role of equipment extrusion, the four corners of the high-frequency frame door to round, so as to solve the problem of sharp corners of the frame door.
Sounds simple, do a million difficult. Is this rounding process, one after another "boiled" two engineers have not been able to conquer.
The rounded corners of the fittings need to be carefully polished, compared to the right angle production process is more tedious. And before Liu Rui Zeng and his team conquered, there is almost no precedent for this technology in the industry.
"From the production level, before this patented technology, the workshop chamfering way is mainly through manual chamfering, each door has to be chamfered four times, time-consuming and laborious, but also easy to improper operation leads to rework. To improve efficiency, it is necessary to achieve equipment to achieve.
The biggest difficulty is to solve the process without affecting the workshop production efficiency. Like now more mature aluminum frame door chamfering process, assembling, in the position of mutual splicing into the corner trim cover, because the aluminum hollow structure, so you can design a separate fit aluminum internal structure of the corner trim cover with the use. But the wood frame door frame structure are solid, so there is no structure for corner trim cover inserted, so there will be sharp corners after assembling, need to develop another process to solve."
Waiting for the right "accident"
At that time, there was even a saying circulating within the Novilla Research Institute department: "Rounding corners makes people old, and whoever takes over is troubled". The industry had no case studies to refer to, and the problem of improving home security needed to be solved urgently. 95-year-old engineer Liu Rizeng was determined to gnaw down this difficult "bone" of the industry no matter what.
He recalls that during that time, he spent his days in the factory doing testing and research. Remember in May 2019, he was doing tests in the factory as usual, because by coincidence, the board in his hand accidentally fell to the ground, and the sharp corner collided with the ground, and then broke and became rounded a bit.
It was this "accident" that gave him inspiration. Colleagues joked that the inspiration effect was comparable to the apple that hit Newton's head.
He then thought, if we add a set of chamfering accessories to the current equipment, we can actually achieve the purpose! And this set of accessories only needs to have the right chamfering value, as well as to meet the non-conductive and durable characteristics to solve all the previous problems.
Just say do it. After finally settling on this plan, he immediately contacted various suppliers to find ways to meet the requirements of the material to do this equipment accessories. Because of the characteristics of high-frequency equipment, will produce high heat in just ten to twenty seconds, so the material should not only be able to withstand high temperatures, but also to have the qualities of non-conductive.
"Later to determine the material, I also for the size of this rounded corner of many tests, proofing no less than a hundred sample doors, until find the most suitable for each product a rounded value, I finally dare to decide to implement the promotion and landing."

From the birth of the idea to the implementation and promotion, Liu Rizeng spent only three months. In just 90 days, he overcame the key technology that had not been broken on the industry, and filled the gap of this technology in the industry.
